Exploring and Documenting our complex relationship with Freshwater

Rivers serve as the veins that course throughout our planet. Their flowing waters are essential to life. As a world dependent upon this vital resource, how often do we look beneath the water’s surface? Equipped with a mask, snorkel and camera, I focus on creating imagery that offers a unique underwater perspective into the life that inhabits these environments. Working with Freshwaters Illustrated, a non-profit that uses film and photography to educate the public on a variety of freshwater topics, I hope to inspire curiosity and help encourage everyone to get out and explore their local river.  With all of us having some connection to a river, I believe the power to introduce communities to their aquatic neighbors will become fundamental in the movement to conserve these wild environments.
